GreenYellow and Nestlé accelerate sustainable development with Thailand’s largest solar project, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by over 2,000 tonnes per year.
GreenYellow, a leader in decentralized energy transition, is proud to announce the inauguration ceremony of a solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Nestlé (Thai) Ltd. The partnership will see the installation of 3.2 MWp of Solar panels at Nestlé Waters’ manufacturing site in Ayutthaya province, making this the largest of all Nestlé manufacturing sites in Thailand.

This collaboration marks a major step forward in Nestlé’s sustainability journey, with GreenYellow integrating renewable energy into its production process.
The inauguration ceremony marks the launch of this innovative project in Ayutthaya, which symbolizes a major advance in solar energy. The installation combines ground-mounted solar panels and Solar Carports, demonstrating the flexibility and efficiency of modern solar technologies.
With an installed capacity of 3.2 MWp, the facility is expected to produce 4.5 GWh of clean energy each year, enabling a significant reduction in CO2 emissions of over 2,000 tonnes per year for 20 years. This project reflects GreenYellow’s and Nestlé’s shared commitment to promoting renewable energies, while working towards the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
“We are delighted to be working with Nestlé (Thai) Ltd. on this major solar project,“ said Frank Gluck, Managing Director of GreenYellow Asia. “At GreenYellow, our mission is to deliver innovative energy solutions, and this project perfectly illustrates our expertise and commitment.”
Philippe Glauser, Technical and Production Manager at Nestlé Indochine, added: “This partnership with GreenYellow is a key step in our sustainability approach. At Nestlé, we aim to use 100% renewable electricity by 2025 at all our sites. By integrating this solar project into Nestlé Waters’ production, we are taking a major step towards reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices within the industry. In addition to switching to renewable energy, we have also implemented Energy Efficiency programs, including optimizing our existing systems and rethinking our processes for better energy performance.”
As Nestlé’s energy partner, GreenYellow is committed to providing cutting-edge, energy-efficient solutions that support the company’s ambitious environmental goals. This project demonstrates the positive impact partnerships can have on the adoption of renewable energy and the reduction of carbon footprints.
GreenYellow offers complete energy solutions, covering everything from financing and design to construction, operation, monitoring and maintenance, all included in Solar Power Purchase Agreements (Solar PPA). GreenYellow’s approach is aligned with the Thai government’s ambitious targets of carbon neutrality by 2050 and net reduction of GHG emissions by 2065.
