Raising awareness and sharing experience with future generations of engineers

At GreenYellow, passing on knowledge and making future generations aware of the challenges of energy transition are priorities. Two of our employees from Reunion visited the Université des Mascareignes.

Dans le caAs part of its commitment to sustainable and inclusive development, GreenYellow implements various initiatives aimed at sharing its expertise and inspiring the talents of tomorrow. One recent example of this commitment took place at the Université des Mascareignes, where GreenYellow Indian Ocean teams had the opportunity to meet students.

Meet the engineers of tomorrow

Gopika Callychurn, Heti K Chakoury and Raïza Gooljar, all engineers at GreenYellow, met with 75 students from the Electromechanical Engineering, Energy and Sustainable development courses. In addition to their technical knowledge, the students learned about the careers of these three professionals and the challenges they have faced in a fast-changing sector.

The meeting was also an opportunity to promote the importance of women in historically male-dominated sectors such as renewable energies and engineering. Through their testimonials, Gopika, Heti and Raïza demonstrated that diversity, such as gender diversity, is a major asset for innovation and for accelerating the energy transition.

A rich and inspiring exchange

The meeting covered a range of topics, including the challenges of sustainable energy production, technological innovations in the field of renewable energies, and career opportunities in this promising sector. GreenYellow engineers shared concrete examples of projects carried out by the company, illustrating the key role of technology in the fight against climate change.

This type of exchange is particularly valuable for students, as it gives them an insight into professional realities, a better understanding of current issues in the energy sector, and the chance to draw inspiration from the career paths of established professionals.

Encouraging innovation and diversity in the energy professions

This GreenYellow initiative aims to raise awareness among the younger generation of the importance of innovation, sustainability and inclusiveness in the energy sector. GreenYellow is working towards a future in which technical expertise goes hand in hand with genuine ecological awareness, and where everyone, regardless of gender or background, can contribute to the energy transition.

GreenYellow is committed not only to the production of decentralized renewable energies, but also to educating and inspiring the future players in the energy sector.

GreenYellow warmly thanks the Université des Mascareignes for its warm welcome, and the students for the richness of the exchanges. This type of partnership with academic institutions is fully in line with GreenYellow’s strategy of building bridges between the academic world and the professional sector, while encouraging reflection and innovation around climate issues.

Together, we can make tomorrow’s energy greener and more accessible to all.
