In 2024, GreenYellow confirms its CSR maturity: Ecovadis Gold Medal since 2020, and reinforces its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments, in particular with the definition of its decarbonization trajectories, a feminization of the organization that is approaching 40%, an HSE culture aligned with European standards and the pooling of supplier audits through a platform shared with peers.

This new report crystallizes 18 years of sustained commitment to sustainable development. It highlights our concrete actions carried out around the world and evaluated by clear indicators.

CSR AT GREENYELLOW: ACTIONS & KEY FIGURES

Environment

  • Our projects drive decarbonization: the positive impact of our operational photovoltaic and energy efficiency installations is estimated at 546,000 tonnes of CO₂e avoided in 2024.
  • We are working to reduce emissions induced by our activities, assessed annually through our carbon footprint (Scopes 1, 2, and 3). We are setting our decarbonization trajectories in line with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology for short-term targets across all three scopes. We are also targeting neutralization of Scopes 1 and 2 by 2040.
  • Since 2020, more than 1,600 adults and 5,000 children have been sensitized on climate issues, notably through Climate Fresk workshops and site visits.

Social & societal

  • A feminization of our teams from 31% in 2019 to 39.9% in 2024, with 31% of management positions now held by women.
  • A responsible purchasing approach launched in 2021 continues to grow, including a pilot project with industry peers who are members of La Plateforme Verte, with the goal of pooling social audits of suppliers in the photovoltaic supply chain.
  • Our HSE culture has been reinforced through the implementation of HSE routines and the Just & Fair policy, aligned with our Four-Zero Objectives (0 accident with physical injury, 0 major environmental incident, 0 tolerance for unsafe behavior, 0 fire incident)

Governance

  • An ESG Committee meets twice a year to monitor progress on ESG topics and validate the annual roadmap. This committee is composed of members of the GreenYellow Executive Committee, representatives of our shareholders, and the CSR & HSE team.
  • 69% of employees under French contracts have invested via an employee mutual investment fund (FCPE) based on the valuation of GreenYellow and included in an employee savings plan.
  • 100% of employees have signed our unified Group Code of Professional Ethics, which has been translated into all relevant languages.

GreenYellow, a committed accelerator to the Energy Transition for all our stakeholders

Since its creation in 2007, GreenYellow has been committed to meeting the challenges of the energy transition – consuming less, consuming better! Environmental and societal responsibility lies at the heart of our businesses and corporate culture. Our dual vocation, economic and environmental, enables us to play an essential role as a key partner for our clients, suppliers and investors.

During these 18 years of activity and growth, the relevance of our approach has been confirmed. We favour a smart energy mix that promotes the local production of green energy while saving energy.

At GreenYellow, we take great pride in being, in our own small way, ambassador and player in a sustainable development project. Our teams see the future in the long term, which motivates them all the more to add their stone to the edifice of the energy transition.

In line with our commitment to protecting the environment and combating global warming, we are actively contributing to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and in particular goals #7 (clean, affordable energy) and #13 (combating climate change).
