Injecting electricity directly into the Réunion Island power grid, the solar installation will generate 1.6 GWh of renewable energy per year – equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 521 residents – and will avoid the emission of 126 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

Covering 21,000 m² and certified HQE Sustainable Building (Certivéa – CSTB), the complex was designed as a modern urban living space combining retail, offices, dining and landscaped integration in the heart of the city.

Dans cette même logique de transition énergétique et de décarbonation des usages, le centre commercial propose In the same spirit of energy transition and decarbonization of uses, the shopping center also offers four 47 kW electric vehicle fast-charging points operated by Watt. by RunCharge, available to customers and enhancing both site attractiveness and the overall user experience.

“The commissioning of this photovoltaic power plant marks a key milestone for the Casabona shopping center. It reflects our ambition to offer a sustainable, high-performance site firmly focused on the future. The installation of electric vehicle charging stations in the parking area naturally complements this approach, enriching our portfolio of responsible services for the benefit of our visitors, retailers and occupants,” says Riaz Locate, Partner of the Casabona Shopping Center.

“With this photovoltaic plant exceeding 1 MWp, Casabona clearly demonstrates the ability of commercial sites to become full-fledged players in the local energy transition. By combining renewable electricity production injected into the grid with publicly accessible electric mobility solutions, this project perfectly illustrates our model: supporting our clients by carrying the investments, studies, construction and operation throughout the entire contract duration,” adds Asma Patel, Managing Director of GreenYellow Réunion–Mayotte.
