WEBINAR: Energy-efficient renovation of public buildings without investment

In France, faced with the challenge of creating the conditions for mass-scale energy renovation of the 130 million m² of public buildings, the law of March 30, 2023 enables local authorities to use third-party financing to promote energy renovation work on their buildings.

Indeed, the targets for reducing energy consumption in public buildings are ambitious: at least 40% by 2030, 50% by 2040 and 60% by 2050, compared to 2010 levels. Achieving these targets requires investments estimated at between 400 and 500 billion euros, an amount that is difficult for public authorities to mobilize.

The law of March 30, 2023 now allows public-sector players to enter into Energy Performance Contracts (EPC) in the form of global performance contracts without any investment on their part.
