Inauguration of a new solar plant photovoltaic
for GreenYellow Colombia

GreenYellow Colombia has just remotely inaugurated its latest solar plant, on the roof of the Unicentro Villavicencio shopping center.

The remote launch took place in the presence of Camilo Gutierrez, Secretary for Competitiveness and Development of the Villavicencio City Council, Mall Director Diana Rubio, Fenalco Meta Executive Director Jorge Arango, GreenYellow Colombia CEO Rodolphe Demaine and Project Manager Oscar Felipe Gomez Quintero.

The 250 kWp rooftop power plant at the Unicentro Villavicencio shopping center covers 1,272m².

The 897 solar panels will supply green electricity that will be consumed directly by the shopping center. This self-consumption plant will cover 24% of the mall's energy needs.

Villacicencio's first solar-powered shopping center

The Colombian shopping mall wishes to develop its actions in favor of the energy transition.
The establishment had set up an "Eco Station" to facilitate the sorting of plastic, glass, electronic materials, ...

With solar plant , developed, built and installed by GreenYellow, the shopping center goes one step further. The self-consumption installation will produce green, local electricity to cover 24% of the mall's needs, resulting in an annual saving of 111 tonnes of CO2.

This makes Unicentro Villavicencio the first shopping center in Villacicencio to use solar energy.
