GreenYellow confirms the signature of a unilateral promise to purchase with Ardian, with a view to its entry into the Group's capital as a new majority shareholder

At the end of the competitive process initiated several weeks ago, GreenYellow, an expert in decentralized photovoltaic solar production, energy efficiency projects and energy services in France and abroad, announces the signature today by Groupe Casino, Tikehau Capital and Bpifrance of a unilateral promise to purchase with Ardian, via its Infrastructure business, with a view to the sale of a majority stake in GreenYellow.

This merger will enable us to support GreenYellow in accelerating its model as an operator owning and operating its assets over the long term, and in pursuing its European expansion.

In the space of 15 years, GreenYellow has become a major player in the energy transition of businesses and local authorities, by deploying a decentralized, global platform for solar, energy efficiency and smart energy services, and now operates in 16 countries on 4 continents. GreenYellow has an advanced photovoltaic pipeline of 764 MWp (additional pipeline of opportunities of 3,701 MW) and an advanced energy efficiency pipeline of 157 GWh (additional pipeline of opportunities of 1,096 GWh).

"This transaction confirms the success of what we have been building since 2007, thanks to the pioneering vision of Groupe Casino and its CEO, Jean-Charles Naouri, and the tremendous commitment of all our teams. It also confirms the relevance of our decentralized platform model, as we were among the first to invest in this decentralized market, which is now at the heart of the energy transition. GreenYellow is well positioned to continue to play its full part in the growth of these buoyant markets. We are delighted to welcome Ardian as we write a new page in our history and in our international growth, in the service of our ambition to become a world leader in the energy transition", said Otmane Hajji, Chairman of GreenYellow.
